What is the “process” to do solo in SCCA?
Ok so I have to join SCCA but I plan to race in the SOLO events so which membership? (or which membership is better) I live in San Bernardino California (I think the club for my region is called the Cal Club). So my question is after I join SCCA, what else do I have to do? And do I need a special car? I plan to use my 91 Toyota MR2 Turbo, its mostly stock. The only mods currently on it are a Blitz blow-off valve, ventiladed disk brakes, and high preformance street tires.
You don’t need a special car, just some modifications such as a roll bar , fire extinguishing system etc. You do need a special license and a membership is required. There are several racing school where the license can be acquired ( Skip Barber and Bob Bondurant to name a couple ).
