Protect my skin from Florida sun in a stylish way?
I’ve lived in the Southeast for a number of years; now I’m in Florida. I’ve been advised by a dermatologist to stay out of the sun, which up to now I’ve managed to do. But now I spend a lot of time waiting for buses, walking from buses to buildings or my car, etc. I’ve seen Chinese people and one Caucasian American woman using umbrellas to keep off the sun, which women in the South used to do even into the ’60s. I’m seriously considering doing this myself. Can I make it look like a fashion statement? Instead of just looking eccentric? Any ideas?
Please don’t tell me to use sunscreen and a hat, because I already do but that doesn’t seem to be enough.
