Dodge ram 1500s dashboard cracking?
Does anyone have any issues with thier dashboard being cracked or broken esp on the passenger side? Do you know anyone who has? Dodge sure used inferior materials when doing the dashboards. Mine is a 2001 Dodoge ram 1500 1/2 ton quad cab.
I have amralled it I clean custom made cloth type cover as well every month and check everything and no problems last month but this month its a wreck. Also truck is not parked in direct sunlight in driveway
I armelled it once in march of 2005
Yes, I drove a 1999 and my Ram dash had to be completely replaced by a body shop after the cracks finally broke into holes you could put both hands through. Cracks started out at the windsheid posts each side and after a year they measured 6 to 8 inch holes exposing electronics inside the dash.
Bad materials and out of warranty. Bummer. ArmorAll would not have helped because our fleet consists of 1996 thru 2001 that get the same amount of UV sunlight. The older trucks have no dash problems.
